Working out your mission or purpose is one of life’s biggest challenges. The good news is that by even considering this question, an important seed has been sewn. You are already on your way! However, the Ego will then work hard to suppress the growth of this new possibility! But this interference is actually a valuable opportunity to notice the Ego at work. That’s how we can learn about its tricks!
BE WARY OF THE EGO’S CLEVER ARGUMENTS.
After sufficient contemplation, an insight will rise into your conscious awareness. In the meantime, you might notice what clever arguments the Ego comes up with, like… “what a silly question” or “what a waste of time”. Or your Ego might say “how will you survive financially?” Or it might say “your friends will think you're crazy”.
THE EGO WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH ITS OWN ANSWERS.
Sometimes the Ego can be extra tricky and provide you with its own answer to your life quest. But can you trust the Ego’s version of truth? Do you really think the Ego has good intentions? Remember, its authority and its whole existence is at stake!
THE EGO WILL PROMOTE OVER-THINKING.
The Ego might conclude that having an excellent intellect is what matters the most in life. The Ego might emphasise the importance of intellectualisation, reasoning and logical thinking. But remember, you can’t solve big life issues only using your thinking mind! The logical mind will send you astray when searching for your life purpose. Instead, you must tap into your intuition & heartfelt knowing to find your best answers.
