SOS BOOK Chapter 28: It's time to start!

OUR PERSONAL CLOCK IS COUNTING DOWN!

How much health & vitality do we have left? Will we have sufficient time to find our inner purpose? Or will we miss out on that joy & fulfilment? The practical reality of life is that we need time to sleep, eat, earn a living and generally manage our lives. So, the longer we delay, the less productive time we have.

If we delay changing ourselves, we also waste energy resisting our inner needs. The longer we suppress these powerful drives, the more we waste our energy & resources. If we squander our precious vitality and resist our inner drives, that’s a sure recipe for dissatisfaction or even a crisis.

WE DON’T NEED A CRISIS TO START OUR CHANGE.

Why should we wait for a big crisis, even a small one, before we decide to change? Why must we wait for a disorder, disability or disease? If we wait,we cannot guarantee enough time or vitality to fulfill our potential.

Instead, we can choose to start to change ourselves now! We can use this extra time to change more gradually. We could use careful baby steps to change, rather than attempting one horrendous leap. This incremental growth is the preferred option!

…Do you see the risk of putting off your recovery and transformation?

WE CAN RE-EDUCATE OURSELVES!

To significantly change, we need a new way of functioning. We need to align with our true inner needs, not our ego. We choose a new perspective on life and learn a new way of thinking & deciding. This will naturally lead to a new way of responding. All this results in a new life!

We don’t need to give up our old self entirely. We don’t need to completely reject our past life. We just modify the way we interact with our thoughts. It is not necessary to give up all material safety or live in poverty. Instead, we could use these same resources wisely to give ourselves and others the greatest benefit.

ADDITIONAL SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE.

The most important changes will occur within our mind! But some further education or reading might also be valuable. This might entail reading books like this one and attending lectures or watching videos. Perhaps later on we might try a longer study program, or even a retreat. Trust your heart-based intuition and follow what you feel most in tune with.

Your practice might utilize simple mind training techniques like mindfulness or meditation. Keeping a diary of our personal progress can be very useful. Of course, we should always seek expert help & guidance along the way as needed.

…What additional support are you going to embrace?
